About me
I’m an IT professional with more than 20 years’ experience designing, implementing, optimising and supporting hybrid Microsoft 365 solutions. I use Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace to improve productivity, collaboration and security. I also provide strategic guidance and lead migrations through to successful deployment.
Since August 2024 I have worked as an interim IT consultant through Sigmonix, helping manufacturing, business services and charity organisations in the UK and EU with infrastructure virtualisation, adoption and utilisation of AI tools with Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace integrations. Prior to this, I was employed as an IT Manager.
- IT Manager, Manufacturing (2018 to 2024): Supported on-premises Hyper-V and Microsoft 365 for 300 users, including disaster recovery and continuity, Power BI reporting, Power Automate and PowerApps solutions, Microsoft 365 security and compliance, and ITIL-based ticketing, Significantly reduced IT spend by virtualisation and migrating workloads to Microsoft 365.
- IT Operations Manager, Non profit organisation (2014 to 2018): responsible for IT for 1,200 users and an £800k budget, covering disaster recovery, GDPR, Intune and Meraki MDM and high-availability FortiGate firewalls; cut telephony costs by £30k a year and reduced service desk incidents from over 1,000 to below 300 a month.

Frequently asked questions
Can you support both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?
Yes. Sigmonix supports organisations on either platform, and those that use both, including integrations with Dynamics 365.
Do you only work with Hyper-V?
Hyper-V is the specialism, but I also have hands-on experience with VMware ESXi and XenServer. That makes me well placed to support mixed environments or to plan a move from either platform to Hyper-V.
Do you work remotely or on site?
Most support and consultancy can be delivered remotely across the UK and EU. On-site work can be arranged where a project needs it.
What kind of organisations do you work with?
Sigmonix works with manufacturing, business services and charity organisations. My previous in-house roles covered organisations of 300 and 1200 users, so I understand the needs of growing teams as well as larger operations.

Who is behind Sigmonix?
I’m Steve Frazer, a Microsoft certified IT professional with more than 20 years’ experience. Sigmonix is my independent consultancy, so you work directly with me rather than with an account manager.
What does Sigmonix do?
I provide Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace support and specialise in Microsoft Hyper-V server design, build, migration and support. I also take on interim IT consultancy for organisations that need senior IT leadership for a period.
Can you migrate us from VMware to Hyper-V?
Yes. I plan VMware ESXi and XenServer to Hyper-V migrations in stages with a clear rollback route, to keep disruption to a minimum. I also move physical servers onto Hyper-V and upgrade older Windows Server versions.
Can you act as our interim IT manager?
Yes. I was an in-house IT Manager and IT Operations Manager for organisations of 300 and 1,200 users, and since August 2024 I’ve worked as an interim IT consultant through Sigmonix. I can cover strategy, suppliers, projects and day-to-day IT until a permanent arrangement is in place.

Yes, I’m DBS checked, which matters for many charities and organisations that work with vulnerable people.
Do you provide support in French?
